A) Applications advice:
Including motor selection, suitable starting and control systems
design, correct selection of soft starters and variable speed
drives, torque and inertia calculations and environmental considerations.
B) Installation recommendations:
When installing a soft starter or variable speed drive, the
considerations of control, ventilation / heat loss, environment,
cabling and protection are not always at the forefront, usually
resulting in problems and unnecessary expenses at a later date.
Our experience has encompassed all these aspects of installation
resulting in minimal problems during installation and commissioning.
C) Commissioning:
Experience in commissioning in essential in building product
and applications knowledge. Our experience in commissioning has
involved a variety of applications and power electronic driven
devices including Soft Starters and Variable speed drives on conveyors,
compressors, pumps and fans.
We offer:

Pre-commissioning adjustments and programming, if required,
at the MCC builder's premises.

Site commissioning, if required, in accordance with our commissioning
rates
D) After Sales Support and Services:
Startco Pty. Ltd. offers a variety of support services, both
in-house and utilising the component level experience of qualified
technicians from dedicated service companies. Our focus in the
event of a break-down is first and foremost to keep the plant
running or to achieve quick and effective repairs to our equipment.
This priority is achieve by structured support:

Phone Contact: Availability of phone support in the
event of a break-down is paramount. The supplier must be assessable
from site for immediate assistance. We offer 24 / 7 / 365
phone support.

Site personnel: In the event that site personnel are
required, Startco Pty. Ltd. utilises a three tiered level
of support:

Startco: From our experience noted above, we have the
necessary technical support to assist in programming,
control malfunctions and applications difficulties.

Where specific products are incorporated in a clients
system, Startco utilise our own in-house service capabilities
and the experience and product knowledge of the supplier,
in component level repairs, to best service our clients
needs.

Where required, Startco will employ the services of some
of Queensland's most competent service technicians to
ensure our client's are adequately serviced and supported.

Workshop Repairs: Utilising the facilities and component
level competencies both in-house and of our support companies,
if required, products supplied by Startco can be fully repaired
and tested to factory specifications for, reliable, return
to service operation.

Spare Parts: We recommend that some critical spare
parts be held on-site for immediate break-down replacement,
where site personnel have the ability to change a faulty component
and avoid down-time delays and costs for a technician to travel
to site.
Generally, Spare Parts inventory is held by the principle
supplier of the electronic product/s. For Startco to hold
a full inventory component count for every product would impractical
and very expensive.

Preventative Maintenance: Startco in conjunction with
our suppliers and service companies offer a 12 monthly preventative
maintenance program whereby a technician will provide the
necessary service on-site to inspect and maintain the power
electronic devices, such as soft starters and variable speed
drives, in fully operational order.
E) Follow-up Support:
Startco offers continued support for our clients in the way of
technical support data, technical papers, questions, applications
advise and periodical visits to site to ensure all systems are
operational.
